Mom's Best Breakfast

In a medium saucepan combine 4 cups of water with a pinch of salt. Place pan on stove burner and turn to the hi setting. Bring mixture to a boil. Turn off burner and immediately stir in 2 cups of uncooked oatmeal. Let stand for five minutes. Dish into individual bowls and serve with raw goat's milk and honey. (-:

  1. Well, we do it a little differently.

    9 cups water
    4 cups oatmeal
    2 apples pealed, chopped
    3/4 cup raisins
    tsp cinnamon

    Add apples, raisins, and cinnamon to water before it boils.

    Goes well with toast, juice, and an egg (for protein!

    We eat this about 3 to 4 days a week at our house! Evil tradition of our parents I can;t break so I have to improve it.
